Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to in the media as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother, were both authors and editors. Ryder's father is from an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder believes she is Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County in California, when she was just seven. The town didn't even have electricity. Television books were Ryder's only distraction to pass the time. Eventually, she began to read extensively. Ryder started to take acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she turned 12 years old. Ryder landed her first film role on the large screen in 1986 when she was 15 years young. Ryder was bullied in high school. Ryder hoped her career in acting would change this. However, that didn't happen. It didn't stop her from making plans for her future. In 1988, she got her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful performances in various films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her performance on The Age of Innocence (1993).
