Aaliyah Haughton made headlines in 1994 when she released her debut album Age Ain't nothing but a number. The singer was barely 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the top-selling track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah gained notoriety as an R&B singer after the album's release. She was a part of the action and romance film Romeo Must Die alongside martial artist Jet-Li. The role was offered to her when she was spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards show. In 2002 she got to play the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was based on the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her debut role. The Matrix Sequels. The actress is the very first generation of Indian-American to be born and raised in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation for her first name in marriage, Mankad. She uses Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar to refer to her official name. Her acting career started in the the mid 2000's, with a few appearances on television and in films. Some of her other notable work are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. In addition, she has appeared in important commercials featuring brands like Volvo the world's largest auto maker. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues to work as an actress.
